DTU has elite researchers in all its fields of research. However, there are a number of high-technological profile areas in which DTU is currently and will continue to speculate and invest an extraordinary amount of resources to be an apparent leader. These profile areas span all DTU´s departments and build on the indispensable foundation formed by the basic technical research into natural science. DTU´s current profile areas are:

DTU considers collaboration with external partners as an important and strategic mission. Collaboration ensures that DTU’s research based knowledge and technologies are being disseminated to the society. Industrial collaboration is a key access for DTU researchers to the research and innovation agenda in the business community.
